Marching Onwards into October 2020

The Monster March was started by Wee Wild Ones in 2017 to raise money for the Children’s Cottage Society. Wee Wild Ones is an inquiry-based early childhood education centre, which provides a variety of programs for children to connect to their world through nature and movement. Previously held at St. Patrick’s Island, the Monster March began as a way for us to support children in need while encouraging families to spend more time together exploring our beautiful city.

This year’s event is bigger and better than ever, as the Monster March becomes Monster Month. We’ve reimagined our favourite fundraising day of the year as a month-long, city-wide campaign. Together, with friends all over YYC, we hope to raise $50,000 CAD for the Children's Cottage Society!

Why the Children’s Cottage Society?

For the past 34 years, the Children’s Cottage Society has been dedicated to preventing harm and neglect to children and building strong families through support services, respite programs and crisis nurseries. This year, COVID-19 changed the daily workings of so many individuals, businesses, and non-profits worldwide - the Children’s Cottage Society included.

Help the Children’s Cottage Society serve Calgary’s most vulnerable families. 100% of funds raised will help the Children’s Cottage Society provide vital services to support those who need it the most.
